We are really chuffed to announce that we are now supporting local pole vaulter, Steve Lewis, as he attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Steve trains locally at the training centre in Loughborough, as well as in London. Stoke-on-Trent-born Steve had early success at the Pole Vault as a junior and by 2006 had won his first medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. He has since won two medals at the Commonwealth Games. His best achievements are finishing seventh in the World Championships in Berlin and sixth at the World Indoor Championships in Doha.

“This is just so great,” said Steve. “I can’t thank Sytner Coventry and MINI enough. I spend a lot of time driving to and from training sessions and driving to events ahead of London 2012 so having a brand new car is amazing. Suddenly, I’m the envy of all my friends!”
